June in iPhone photos

Above are some items I've cooked this month, including homemade naan, homemade cheese with baguette and chicken pot pie. I cook so much more now that I don't have the conveniences of all my favorite foods.

Those soft shell crabs were sooooo tasty, who knew?

A week or so ago at school, the kids made a noodle water slide. It was was tons of fun just trying to pick up the noodles with my chopsticks. 

 

It's now been 3 months since I've been in Japan, and it's finally starting to feel like home, with the promise and new adventures and new friends.

Glossybox Japan: June Edition

Before I get into what I received, I just want to mention something. Every single Glossybox I've received in Japan, has always come with a neatly done up bow.. There is so much attention to detail with every box. Not once have I received a scattered box with leaflets all over the place or all my samples off to one side. Smells divine! I'll be keeping this in my backpack. Yeah, that's right, I said backpack. I don't carry a purse to school. I carry a backpack. It's easier on my shoulders and keeps my bento box all nice and cozy.
Savonniere Soaps
I like to keep clean so I'll use them up and they smell sooooo good!
Another Trip Bath Salts - I received Algae from France.
I love bath salts so this will be fun to use. It also smells really good!

All in all it's a decent box with lots of new brands for me to try out :)

Beauty Exchange: From Spain

Hey guys!
I received my swap from Spain yesterday and I couldn't be more happy!
As some of you already know I participate in a beauty exchange group that allows you to swap with people from all over the world. Currently I swap with France, Spain and UK. It's a great way to try new products that are not available in your country.

Here's what I got (I already ate the mixed nuts.. yummm)

It came with a nice hand written note :)

 I got a nice big bottle of Olive oil from Spain. I love to cook so I can't wait to try it!

 The new Iglot eye-shadows fit nicely in my Z-Palette

 What's even more awesome is the information is already placed on the back of the shadow. Less work for me :)

Sweat pits? Well not anymore!

Not the most attractive post title but it's true.
Ever have a meeting or interview where you end up sweating buckets from nervousness?
Not to worry! That can be solved with with what I like to call pads for your armpits. :)
While shopping in the beauty section of my local Sundrug, I stumbled upon this box called Ag+. The outside of the box had a picture of what I originally thought was cotton pads for your face but after looking at the back of the box I realized it was for your clothes.

Here's what the box looks like -

I ended up picking up a box as I figured "what the heck.. might as well try it"
Basically it's an absorbent pad for your armpits. I think it's a great idea if you don't want pit stains for that big event or date. We all sweat.. so don't pretend like YOU don't. ;) If Japanese women sweat, then we ALL do.

Another option for those that don't like the armpit absorbent pads is the refreshing sheet's.
They usually come in cute packing as seen below -

I haven't fully experienced a Japanese summer but I've heard they can be uncomfortable so it's nice to know there are things to help make it a bit more bearable.  

Forever 21 in Japan

I've never really shopped at Forever 21 when I use to live in Canada but I needed some new summer clothes on a very small budget. While surfing Amazon, Rakuten and some other Japanese websites I saw an ad for Forever21.co.jp. I ended up clicking on the link and instantly found happiness.. (in the sales section, of course).
I placed an order Thursday and Saturday morning my box arrive. Did I mention how much I love Japanese postal service? Most of the time it's free and super SUPER fast! It's amaaaaazzzzziiiinnng!
Anyways here's some of the items I ordered:

I also picked up a couple pairs of leggings and a pair of Hello Kitty leg-warmers.
I'm really quite happy with my purchase and will be ordering from F21 Japan very soon.

Fun Bento boxes for everyone from Bento&Co

I love my new Bento box, but now I have the urge to collect more.. like cards, make-up, dolls, etc.
I want a different Bento box for everyday of the week.
Thanks to Bento&Co I can choose from a variety of lunch boxes..

It includes some leftover homemade naan bread, rice, cucumbers and tomato's with salmon. I love salmon!! For a first attempt, I'm quite proud!
